How to Clear Browser Cache

Why Clear Your Cache?

Web browsers store temporary memory in the form of "cache" in order to speed up page load times. This can cause GenLogs users to see outdated versions of our platform after new releases go live.

How to Clear Your Cache

First, try signing out and back in.

  1. Find your username in the bottom left corner

  2. Click Sign Out

If that didn't work, follow the steps to clear your cache for your respective browser.

Google Chrome

  1. Open Chrome Settings

    • Type chrome://settings/content/all into your address bar, or:

      • Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.

      • Select Settings.

  2. Navigate to Privacy and Security:

    • Go to Privacy and security in the left sidebar.

    • Click Clear browsing data.

  3. Select Data to Clear:

    • Choose the Time range (e.g., "All time" for a full clear).

    • Type genlogs into the search bar and click Delete displayed data:

  4. Log back in to GenLogs to ensure changes take effect.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Edge Settings:

    • Type edge://settings into your address bar, or:

      • Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.

      • Select Settings.

  2. Go to Privacy Settings:

    • Click Privacy, search, and services in the left sidebar.

    • Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear.

  3. Select Data to Clear:

    • Set the Time range (e.g., "All time" for a complete clear).

    • Check Cached images and files (uncheck other options if you prefer to keep cookies or other data).

  4. Clear the Cache:

    • Click Clear now.

  5. Log back in to GenLogs to ensure changes take effect.
