Setting up email alerts to track assets via the Asset Locator (AL) is simple. You can either set up a single alert or multiple alerts via bulk import.

Set up a single alert

  1. Open the Alerts tab on the left of AL.

  2. Click Add New on the top right and name your alert.

  3. If you want to be notified Determine the Alert type. Normal alerts run every 24 hours in the morning whereas hot alerts run every 15 minutes.

  4. Fill out any other asset details (all optional)

Set up multiple alerts via bulk import

To import multiple assets, go to Export/Import at the top left and utilize the excel templates. Once the excel sheet has been completed, import the file to set up alerts.

Viewing alert results

Based on the alert type, you will get automatic email alerts when AL captures the asset via the sensor (including past dates).

Results will include the below if available:

  • Front, side, rear view images

  • Timestamp

  • City, State, Road Info, Lat/Long

  • Truck License Plate

  • VIN

  • DOT and MC

  • Cab Number

  • Trailer Logo and Number

Manage alerts

To enable, disable, or delete an alert:

  1. Open the Alerts tab on the left of AL.

  2. Find the alert(s) you want to edit

  3. Click the check box on the left and options will appear at the top.

Run Alerts

Normal alerts are ran every 24 hours in the morning. Depending on the number of alerts in our system, emails may get triggered between 5 AM and 10 AM EST.

Hot alerts are triggered every 15 minutes.

Manually run alerts

To trigger an alert outside of the default time frame:

  1. Open the Alerts tab on the left of AL.

  2. Click the check box next to the alert(s) you want to manually trigger

  3. Press the Run Alerts button in the top right

You will be sent an email with any matches found.
